Did you know the condition of your mouth affects the health of your whole body? Cavities and gum disease can lead to serious medical problems like some types of heart disease. Poor oral health also has been linked to low-birth-weight babies and oral cancer and even makes some diseases such as diabetes difficult to control. Teeth that are not properly cared for cause pain and discomfort, making eating more difficult. Tooth or gum pain makes paying attention and participating in school or work difficult and increases worry about longer term problems. Make sure this does not happen to you or your family; make an appointment with your dentist and keep your regularly scheduled appointments.
Your Dental Benefits Include:
Prevention and Diagnostic Services which includes X-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments and sealants
Emergency Services
Restorative Services which includes fillings, root canal therapy, crowns, partial and full dentures (some procedures require review and approval before the dentist can perform the procedure)
Oral Surgery which includes tooth extraction, biopsy and other surgical procedures (some procedures require review and approval before the dentist can perform the procedure)
Orthodontia (braces) which is limited to members who qualify based on the severity of the position of the teeth (the procedures require review and approval before the dentist can place the braces)
